Join the KCRWC at the Oriental Wok, Ft. Mitchell on Monday, October 26th at 11:30am as we welcome Jenean Hampton, Candidate for Lt. Governor.
She was born and raised in inner city Detroit. Jenean grew up in a less than ideal financial situation, but found inspiration in NASA’s space program. When the family acquired a television, Jenean watched and was inspired by space mission launches and landings. Her excitement in the program and reading helped Jenean form a positive, optimistic outlook. After high school, Jenean worked five years in the automotive industry to help pay for college and graduated from Wayne State University in 1985. Shortly after graduation she joined the U.S. Air Force as a computer systems officer, writing computer code and testing software. She was deployed to Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. While stationed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Jenean, an Air Force Captain, was responsible for critical radar software used in both search and rescue missions and tracking enemy planes. After the Air Force, Jenean began a 19-year career in the corrugated packaging industry. Jenean has been married 14 years to Dr. Doyle Isaak, a retired U.S. Air Force officer. They live in Bowling Green where Jenean is active in the community. As a supporter of constitutionally limited government, Jenean serves as a strong conservative voice in Kentucky.
