“Annual Family Picnic — 2017”
The picnic begins at 6:30pm on Monday, July 24th at the Edgewood Senior Center in Freedom Park, off Thomas More Parkway.
Cost is $10.00 per person, $5 Per Child/ren Ages 4-12!
Bring your kids, spouse, significant other, family, friends and neighbors!!!
Also, please bring a covered dish that feeds 8-10 people — with a serving utensil appropriate for your dish!! The club provides the fried chicken!

HELP NEEDED… We do need your help, and your donations, to make our annual Auction a success. The proceeds of the Auction at our July Picnic make it possible for us to support our candidates and our community throughout the year, especially for our Scholarship and contributions to various organizations.
Items that go over well are restaurant gift cards, jewelry, GOP items, sports tickets (think UK, UC, Reds, Bengals, FC Cincinnati)… also baskets containing collections of related items with themes such as: Wine Lover’s, Beach, Cooking, Sports, Children’s, Weekend, and Mystery!
Cash or gift cards also happily accepted.

Our June 26th speakers will be Kenton County Circuit Court Judge Patricia Summe and Kenton County Family Court Judge Christopher Mehling. They will speak about how each of them came to identify with their respective Republican or Democrat parties.
They will also discuss the differences between how Democrats and Republicans view the issues of:
1) The role of government
2) Entitlements: “a leg up or a hand out”
3) Social issues
4) Second Amendment
These topics are sure to make for interesting discussion!

Let’s celebrate our youth! Our May 22nd meeting will honor Cameron Thornberry, a senior at Dixie Heights High School who is the winner of the KCRWC Mary Middleton Scholarship. In addition, teen author, Lauren Hudson, will speak about the books she has written about capitalism as well as her newest fiction mystery novel. She will also speak about the awards she has received and the unique experiences she has had as a successful writer. Her books will be available for purchase at the meeting.
If you would like to meet and congratulate Cameron, he will be awarded his scholarship at the KCRWC luncheon on May 23rd at 11:30 a.m. at the Oriental Wok on Buttermilk Pike in Ft. Mitchell.
About the Scholarship: The Mary Middleton Scholarship is presented annually to a student who understands the importance of civic engagement within the young adult community. The $500 scholarship is named in honor of KCRWC’s founder Mary Middleton, who dedicated over fifty years of service to the organization. A tireless volunteer, Mary devoted significant personal energies to public and community service.
Registration begins at 11:30 a.m., with the meeting beginning promptly at 12 noon. The cost for lunch is $16.00.
When you register at the door, you will take a card to place at your seat corresponding to your lunch choice of either Lemon Chicken or Beef Broccoli. As always, if you have special food needs or dietary restrictions, let your server know.

Greg Shumate, KCRP Chairman, will discuss the upcoming reorganization of the Kenton County Republican Party. We’ll begin at 6:30pm, at 1717 Dixie Highway in Ft. Wright. We will be meeting in the lower level conference rooms (if you have volunteered to make calls or pick up signs in the last few years, you will know exactly where we will be)!

On Saturday, March 11, 2017, the Kenton County Republican Party (KCRP) will hold their reorganization meeting at Dixie Heights High School Cafeteria. The reorganization is held to elect Precinct Captains, Co-Captains and Youth Captains. Youth Captains must be 40 years of age or younger. In addition, the Officers of the County Committee and the 15 members of the Kenton County Executive Committee will be elected. Voter registration will begin at 9:00. Precinct Elections will begin at 10:00 and the County Committee Meeting will begin at 11:00. All registered Kenton County Republicans are invited to attend. Our holiday appeal this year is to support the 60 soldiers of Bravo Company, 101st Airborne Division. They are currently deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan and it is a UAV surveillance company. We will be collecting cash donations, and the following items: Chapstick; Sanitizer wipes (not liquid); Hand warmer packs; 100% cotton socks; writing materials like pens, pencils, envelopes, and notepaper; Playing cards; Powdered drink mix; Powdered coffee creamer. Also anything to make meals taste better like individual packets of mustard, hot sauce, ketchup, seasoning salt; and individual packets of nuts, energy bars, gum & mints.
Please remember to bring your items to our meeting on the 28th!
